“Pretense” is episode fifteen of season three of Stargate SG-1.
Two Goa’uld pyramid ships are destroyed and a Death Glider piloted by Skaara, the Abydosian boy who Jack O’Neill befriended in the film and who was kidnapped at the same time as Sha’re in “Children of the Gods” and who was also taken as a Goa’uld host, is shot down onto the new Tollan (who were first met in “Enigma”) homeworld.
SG-1 is invited by the Tollan to come witness Skaara’s trial (or ‘triad’ as the Tollan call it), as Skaara had requested them to appear. More than witness, in fact, as they are actual participants, as Archon on Skaara’s part.
The trial is to determine whether Skaara can be freed from his Goa’uld, Klorel, or not. As well as a Goa’uld, Zipacna, who defends Klorel, there is a neutral Nox (who were met in “The Nox”) Lya as a third Archon.
A trial episode. The second one I think. The Goa’uld do not play by the rules of course.
Looks like the end of the Skaara plotline.
