“Affinity” is episode eight of season eight of Stargate SG-1.
Teal’c has finally moved off the base and has found an apartment. That’s taken a long time coming. He intervenes in a traffic accident, and some thugs get more than they bargained for. This causes a bit of a problem with the government, as he was only given permission to live off base if he maintains a low profile. Which this wasn’t.
Daniel pops by to have a chat. Teal’c has been getting involved in a number of incidents where he felt it was necessary to protect someone – which, as Daniel points out, is atypical behaviour for a normal human. So also failing to come under the ‘low profile’ condition. Then, the boyfriend of a neighbour turns up dead, one Teal’c had threatened to kill, and Teal’c himself is missing.
Carter’s boyfriend, Pete, who first appeared in “Chimera”, has proposed to her, and she’s unsure about it.
This seems, at first, like a relationship episode – until The Trust become involved.
