“Sacrifices” is episode nine of season eight of Stargate SG-1.
The rebel Jaffa leader Ishta, who was seen in “Birthright”, is planning to overthrow Moloc, the Goa’uld System Lord she is fighting against, soon, but Teal’c and Master Bra’tac have gone to see her to get her to reconsider. When they arrive back, Teal’c is furious, because his son, Rya’c, is getting married without his permission, or even asking him.
Ishta arrives at the SGC, asked for asylum for her and her people, as she believes the location of their home planet has been compromised. Because of this, Rya’c’s wedding is going to be held at the SGC. The rehearsal does not go well.
During the transfer, a meeting of the Jaffa intending to overthrow Moloc is arranged. Teal’c accompanies Ishta but, during the meeting, they are all attacked. Teal’c, Ishta and another Jaffa escape, but the others are killed or captured. Ishta wants to immediately attack, but Teal’c wants to wait. Then, Ishta is captured by Moloc himself, so Teal’c decides to rescue her.
