“Lava’s a Many Splendored Thing” is episode four of season four of Farscape.
At the end of the previous episode, “What Was Lost Part 2: Resurrection”, Jool had decided to stay on the planet they were on, Scorpius had been buried not-quite-dead and everyone else had set off to look for Moya. Despite the others saying that Moya was on the way back, she still hasn’t turned up since being sucked into the wormhole at the end of the season three finale episode, “Dog with Two Bones”.
After being given something by the old woman, the crew set down D’Argo’s ship on the surface of a nearby, lava covered planet, due to adverse effects. Rygel’s light-fingered behaviour triggers a trap, and they wind up dealing with a bunch of criminals who think they want to steal their loot.
