“Prodigy” is episode seven of season one of Dark Angel.
Kendra has got a temporary gig helping a visiting Japanese geneticist. When Max finds out what the geneticist has accomplished – fixing genetic problems after birth – she becomes interested, thinking that there may be a possible cure for her seizures, so she gets Logan to get her inside.
During the presentation, she ends up sitting next to Lydecker, who is there because the work parallels his own interests in genetics, although he doesn’t recognise Max. She is, after all, quite a lot older than the last time he saw her.
Things take a turn for the worse when a terrorist group attacks and hold everyone hostages, because they are interested in the young boy who is the result of the research, and who has had his own genetic problems fixed, although their interest in him doesn’t seem to be because of the technology, as they are rather anti-tech themselves. Not only has Max got to deal with Lydecker, but there are now a whole bunch of people with mayhem on their mind and lots of innocent bystanders – including her friend Kendra.
