“Cold Comfort” is episode eight of season one of Dark Angel.
This episode opens with a girl being found, apparently frozen to death, inside a walk-in freezer. When the freezer is opened, she shows that she isn’t as dead she appears – she’s another one of the escaped X5s, so she’s rather stronger than she looks – and she phones in for help.
Zack, the leader of the escape attempt who was seen in “411 on the DL”, returns to Seattle looking for Max. Brin, the other X5 from the beginning of the episode, had been captured, presumably by Lydecker. Only he isn’t the one who has her, so Max and Zack are left needing Lydecker’s help to find Brin. Lydecker is not willing to have his X5s being studied by someone else.
Meanwhile, Normal has found an investor for Jam Pony, which doesn’t please everyone else, so they do their best to disrupt things to get rid of the investor.
