“All the Time in the World” is episode nineteen of season four of Warehouse 13.
In the previous episode, “Lost & Found”, Charlotte Dupres revealed who she actually was – the Countess of St Germain – after the Warehouse team tried to save her life (unsuccessfully, but she got better), making her think that they were different to all the other Warehouse agents she had met in the past. Some of whom had killed her.
Charlotte revealed that she was looking for the Philosopher’s Stone – of which half was found in Roaring Dan Seavey’s treasure – so that she could use it to get rid of her, and her son’s, immortality. The son – Nick – has been 15 for 500 years.
Nick might not have the same plan though. He managed to dupe Claudia, and Jinks, so that she hacked the bronzer, and then used it to de-bronze legendary alchemist Paracelsus. The latter then bronzed Claudia, and broke the bronzer. Meaning that she is currently stuck as a bronze statue. Charlotte’s plan doesn’t seem to be being followed.
The episode starts slightly in the past, just after Paracelsus has been de-bronzed. Nick is telling Paracelsus – his uncle – that Claudia isn’t a threat and that the Warehouse has changed. Using an artefact, Nick gives knowledge of what has happened over the past few hundred years to his uncle.
This is all actually happening using the artefact that shows past events, the durational spectrometer, and Pete and Myka are watching it. Myka can’t find anything in the system about why Paracelsus was bronzed in the first place. A whole bunch of artefacts are missing as well. Artie is repairing the bronzer so that Claudia can be un-bronzed. The process fails – the bronzer was powered by an artefact, the a three thousand plus year old bronze stele from Mesopotamia. And it’s been taken as well. There’s a message from Paracelsus as well, saying that Sutton – the Count – knows what he wants. Presumably, no thing he wants, no bronzer.
Paracelsus seems to be making his own plans, not the ones that Charlotte intended, and he seems to have a problem with his brother, Sutton. Nick doesn’t appear to be a willing accomplice either. Paracelsus double crossed Sutton though, and tried his experimental longevity process on his family as well, not just on Sutton as was intended. The experiment was done by combining artefacts with alchemy, and then Paracelsus was bronzed by agents of Warehouse 9. Now they need to find Sutton. Pete and Myka – accompanied by Charlotte – head off to find Sutton.
Worse news is that Claudia wasn’t bronzed using the machine – and she’s starting to crumble. Which is bad. Mrs Frederic detects that there is something wrong with Claudia so turns up. Something is affecting Mrs Frederic as well, and what affects Mrs Frederic may also affect the Warehouse. Which is more bad. Mrs Frederic has access to, restricted, files on Paracelsus that Artie doesn’t, so they will be able to find out why Warehouse 9 bronzed Paracelsus. It’s not quite that easy though.
Things are building up to the season finale, “The Truth Hurts”.
