“In Too Deep” is episode two of season one of The Tomorrow People.
After the events of the previous episode, “Pilot”, Stephen is now working for Ultra in the hopes of finding his father. At the start of the episode he’s on the verge of being thrown off a roof by the telekinetic powers of another one of the Tomorrow People.
The episode then goes back three days. Stephen is still struggling with his powers, and his life, and John doesn’t want him associating with the others because of his decision to join Ultra.
There is a new breakout who is using his powers to rob banks. Ultra, and the Tomorrow People, are both tracking him down. Ultra has a fairly severe penalty towards new breakouts who exhibit antisocial behaviour. Robbing banks is definitely considered to be antisocial. Stephen decides to help the breakout, no matter what.
Not entirely certain of this re-imagining yet. The conflict between the Tomorrow People and Ultra seems a lot more violent than the original series.
