“Pilot” is the first episode of the new series of The Tomorrow People.
The Tomorrow People was originally a British series from the 70s, and then a British/US remake in the 90s. This new series is purely American.
I’m not sure if I remember the original series – although I do have some books based on that series although it’s a while since I read them but I’m reasonably certain this series is quite a bit different to the original. In the original one the Tomorrow People were in contact with a galactic organisation of aliens or something. It seems a bit different in this series, although they are still unable to kill.
Stephen thinks he’s going crazy, as he’s hearing voices and sleepwalking. He isn’t, he’s doing telepathy and teleporting, as he’s one of the Tomorrow People, who can do those and telekinesis as well, which he discovers when he is contacted by them. The Tomorrow People are being hunted by a government organisation called Ultra which is run by his uncle, his father’s brother, which aims to contain and neutralise them. Stephen’s father, who disappeared when he was eight, was apparently one of the most powerful of them.
