The Flash – Harry and the Harrisons

“Harry and the Harrisons” is episode twenty-one of season four of The Flash.

Barry wakes to a sound. Iris is downstairs going through everything they have on DeVoe. She wants to write a piece about DeVoe to expose every single detail of his plan so the people of the city can protect themselves.

In the Cortex, Caitlin explains that the satellites they discovered DeVoe was building in the previous episode, “Therefore She Is”, will emit a series of dark matter bursts that will reboot everyone’s prefrontal cortex. He can launch the satellites using Null’s powers and KILLG%RE’s powers mean he can stop attempts to knock them down. Barry suggests they don’t use tech, but something else such as an organic weapon, to shoot them down.

Harry speaks to Cisco afterwards. He wants his intelligence back so he can work out why DeVoe isn’t acting. He suggests consulting the Council of Wells. So, they contact Harrison Wolfgang Wells, who refuses to help because Harry is no longer smart. Cisco says they will create a new, better, smarter council.

Joe finds Caitlin and they speak about her attempts to bring back Killer Frost. Joe says in missing persons cases, when you hit a wall, you try to approach it from a different direction. This gives Caitlin an idea.

She tells the others that they were looking for something to fire a weapon at the satellites, when they should perhaps be looking for a person. Amunet Black. Not an ideal choice, but she’s immune to KILLG%RE’s powers. Amunet helped Caitlin before and she thinks she will do it again.

Barry and Caitlin head to Amunet’s place but only find Norvok. Amunet hasn’t been heard from in months; she may even be dead.

Back at the Cortex, Caitlin says that Amunet was a flight attendant on the night of the particle accelerator explosion. This leads to them finding her real identity, Lesley Jocy. And a number of addresses connected to her.

Barry wants a word with Iris about the article. He isn’t sure it’s a good idea; she ends up agreeing to hold off on telling the rest of the team until she’s finished writing it. Probably not what he was going for.

The Council of Harrisons is convened and it seems the members were kicked of the Council of Wells by Wolfgang. Harry explains what’s wrong and the three agree to help him get his intelligence back.

Joe and Caitlin turn up at one of Amunet’s addresses, a market. Joe realises that Caitlin also thinks Amunet can help her with Killer Frost. Caitlin admits Amunet used some black-market tech on her. They see two people head into the back and follow, finding a hidden casino run by Amunet. Joe clears the room and they speak to Amunet. Barry arrives as the Flash as Amunet throws some metal. He says they need her help.

Back at the Cortex, Amunet admits the satellites are troubling. And asks why Barry still has his mask on; she knows he’s the speedster she tried to procure from the warden. And thinks she could have got a pretty penny from selling the Flash. Caitlin gets her to focus. Amunet agrees to help, but says she needs more shards. They were on the same plane as her, en route to a military facility, and normally she’d go to her stash for a big job, but someone has cleaned it out.

Amunet is a reluctant ally, acting out of her own self-interest. And Harry is consulting himself so he can figure out why DeVoe hasn’t started yet.
