“Into the Fire” is episode one of season three of Stargate SG-1.
At the end of the finale of season two, “Out Of Mind”, SG-1, with the exception of Teal’c, had been captured by Hathor – last seen in the episode bearing her name. I’d wondered if she would be seen again. It also looks like they’ve switched to CGI to display Goa’uld larvae, because the one seen at the end of the episode was a lot more impressive than previous ones, which looked sort of like a dying puppet. In fact, the entire special effects budget looks to have got a boost.
Teal’c has also left the SGC in order to return to Chulak and raise an army of his own people.
The Tok’ra have discovered the location of SG-1, and several teams are dispatched to rescue them.
I didn’t remember this episode at all when I watched it. I wonder if I’ve come to the end of the episodes from the beginning that I’ve seen?
