“End of Nights: Part 1” is episode one of season two of Sanctuary.
At the end of the season one finale, “Revelations, Part 2”, it turned out that the Cabal was after the vampire blood, and got Ashley to steal it for them – her and Henry’s escape from the Cabal had been a hoax, although they didn’t realise it at the time. Ashley had been given… something, that changed her, and turned her to the Cabal. It looks like she may have her father, Druitt’s, power.
The new season opens six weeks later in Cairo in Egypt, with Dr. Magnus and John Druitt trying to find information about Ashley and the vampire blood. Their informant says that Ashley, as they knew her, is dead.
In Montreal in Quebec, Ashley breaks into a facility and steals a lot of data from it, which involves MI6. Some of the information relates to experiments done by MI6 years ago that Magnus was a consultant on.
Will and Clara Griffin now have a relationship, although she is now in the UK. Tesla has created a cure for the Lazarus Virus – but Bigfoot is refusing to take it.
Whilst the others try and find out what the Cabal is up to, the organisation is experimenting on Ashley – and, by the looks of it, giving her new abilities.
Quite a bit of travelling around in this episode – the previously mentioned places as well as Essex and Vancouver – and the use of split screens.
