“Revelations, Part 2” is episode thirteen of season one of Sanctuary and the season finale.
In the previous episode, “Revelations, Part 1”, Magnus, Will and the remains of the Five, except Tesla but including the granddaughter of the Invisible Man, had gone to look for the remaining sample of the vampire blood in order to stop the bioweapon deployed by the Cabal.
Magnus’s father had hidden the blood in the lost city of Bhalasaam, which was built by the vampires, only it has been reduced to rubble. Ashley and Henry have been captured by the Cabal; the Cabal want Ashley’s help and are trying to bring out Henry’s Abnormal side – permanently. The Cabal wants to use the bioweapon to show humans just how dangerous Abornmals can be, and turn them against them – except for those under the Cabal’s control. Precisely what the Cabal wants to do with Ashley is not certain. They may also want the vampire blood.
Magnus and the others are still missing Tesla, but when they finally get into the Labyrinth under the ruined city, they find that he is inside the city already. The Five have to pass tests, one for each of them, in order to finally get to the vial. Magnus senior has used the traps in the vampire city. Matters aren’t really helped by Watson, Druitt and Tesla constantly sniping at each other – which is not helpful, as they have to work together.
Much of the episode revolves around the five tests; Will is the only member of the team who doesn’t have to do one.
A cliffhanger ending to the season, with the story continuing in season two and the next episode, “End of Nights: Part 1”.
