“Self Inflicted Wounds, Part 1: Could’a, Would’s, Should’a” is episode three of season three of Farscape.
Zhaan is still dying after saving Aeryn’s life in “Season of Death”. There’s a suitable planet nearby, but there’s also a wormhole in the vicinity. A ship of some sort comes out of the wormhole and seems to hit them, but the ship has actually merged with Moya. Even worse, the merged ships are stuck in the wall of the wormhole.
Chiana and D’Argo’s relationship is on the rocks after D’Argo discovered that Chiana and his son, Joffee, were intimately involved, in the previous episode, “Suns and Lovers”. There’s also the weird ship they hauled in during that episode.
One of the cryochambers recovered in “Season of Death” opens, and the female inside comes out. They may be related to humans but, if so, it looks like it’s a pretty distant relationship.
As can be gathered from the title, the story does not conclude in this episode but continues in the next, “Self Inflicted Wounds, Part 2: Wait for the Wheel”.
