“Through a Glass, Darkly” is episode eleven of season five of Andromeda.
Following the previous, rather odd, episode “The Test”, everyone has started acting like a crew again.
They are trying to help people on Seefra-5 defend themselves against an oppressive ruler, but are struggling. Rhade is on the ground, and the Andromeda Ascendant is in orbit, whilst Beka tries to get supplies to the ground.
Then a tesseract opens on the Andromeda‘s bridge, and Höhne – the Perseid scientist who was last seen falling into the slipstream core in “Ouroboros” during the problems with Harper’s tesseract machine – appears.
Harper is, eventually, happy, and he and Höhne, at Dylan’s request, try to rebuild the teleporter so that supplies can be beamed down to the planet.
This doesn’t work as planned – a link is created to the past before the fall of the Systems Commonwealth. Unfortunately, it also causes the Seefra system’s suns to start going supernova. Which is bad.
