“The Ties That Blind” is episode seven of season one of Andromeda.
Harper is off at a surfing competition when the Andromeda Ascendant is hailed by a Wayist ship that has been attacked – Rev Ben having given details of the Andromeda to his Wayist brethren, although without asking. They have been attacked whilst on the way to a peace conference, and need help.
The Wayist on the ship was trying to negotiate a truce between the Free Trade Alliance and the Restorians. The Restorians are an eco-terrorist group opposed to start travel, and go around blowing up spaceships. Using their own spaceships. Logic has never been a big factor for fanatic nut-jobs. It also seems that the Restorians were the people who attacked the Andromeda in “D Minus Zero”.
On board the Wayist ship is Beka’s brother. she doesn’t trust him, believing that he is running some sort of scam. Only what sort? He seems to keep changing his stance as to what he is doing.
