“The Cat with Ten Lives” is episode three of season one of UFO.
MoonBase detects three UFOs and launches Interceptors and sends out the ground defences rocket launchers before contacting SHADO Control. The UFOs retreat and the Interceptors follow. Three more UFOs are detected and they attack MoonBase. The ground defences take down one UFO before it’s destroyed. The Interceptors take down the other two.
There’s a knock on the door of a house and the woman goes to answer it. There’s no-one there, but a package has been left. Inside is a glass and some cards.
Straker is talking to Colonel Lake. Eight UFOs have been destroyed in the last week. Straker is worried what they will try next.
The Interceptor pilots return to quarters; they’re heading back to Earth soon. One, Reagan, is called for combat training. After he is finished, he returns to quarters. Straker wants the pilots ready as there are no ground defences left.
Reagan returns to Earth and home, where his wife, Jean, reminds him they have dinner tonight with the Thompsons. It was his idea. The Thompsons are the couple from earlier and the wife, Muriel, says they got this Ouija thing. They give it a go and it spells ‘seance’ out. Whilst trying to see if there’s anyone there, Reagan falls asleep. He thinks he must have passed out.
Reagan is heading home with his wife. They’re going the long way home and Jean offers to take over. She’s driving and Reagan is asleep when he wakes and slams on the brakes. There’s something in the road. A cat. Jean wants to keep it. Then the car stops working. Jean sees a UFO but before they can do anything, both are stunned and carried off by aliens. Something is done to Reagan, and he wakes in the car with the cat but no Jean. He hears a UFO leaving.
Reagan seems to be under the control of the cat, and thereby the aliens, and Dr Jackson thinks he’s learned something about the aliens.
