“The Burning” is episode four of season one of Threshold.
A patient escapes from a psychiatric hospital in Cleveland, Ohio and a guard and orderly are killed in the process – by someone with great strength. Not only that, an electrified fence that should have stopped anyone, killing them if necessary, has also been got through.
This might not be considered to be relevant, but the escaped patient had pictures on his wall of the trees made of glass that three of the Threshold team saw in their dreams. The patient was locked up over twenty years prior for killing his family – although he claimed that they were already dead, or had mutated. Not surprisingly, he wasn’t believed.
It turns out that the patient didn’t escape – he was broken out by one of the freighter crew. This means there’s some sort of connection to the aliens going back decades, which is a bit worrying.
Being locked up in a psychiatric hospital when you aren’t crazy will probably send you crazy.
