“Revelations” is episode eight of season one of Threshold.
This episode opens with Caffrey chained up in what looks like a room in a church, with a deformed corpse nearby, before going back two days.
After the events of the previous episode, “The Order”, in which Caffrey had to order a plane full of people, including her mentor and friend, shot down because they had been affected, J.T. is concerned that she is getting stressed out.
In the home town of one of the missing Bighorn crewmen, Sontag, one of the two agents assigned to watch his mother has gone missing. Cavennaugh is going to investigate, and J.T. suggests Molly goes as well. In the town, the preacher at the church which Sontag’s mother attends is giving sermons on ‘seas of glass’ which is a reference to Revelations, but also sounds rather like the dreams those exposed to the alien signal get.
Meanwhile, following part of the Bighorn’s structure washing up on a beach on Rhode Island, and then affecting people, the decision is made to find the wreck of the Bighorn and salvage it. Sinking it to the bottom of the ocean was probably not the wisest move.
