“The Other Guys” is episode eight of season six of Stargate SG-1.
SG-1 are babysitting some scientists on a planet, but their location has been discovered by one of the Goa’uld serving Anubis, Khonsu. He dispatches a Ha’tak commanded by his First Prime to locate and capture – alive – SG-1.
When SG-1 are captured, the scientists – the other guys of the title – decide to rescue them. They are a less convincing rescue party.
John Billingsley, who played Dr Phlox on Star Trek: Enterprise (at the same time as this) guest stars – and he’s a Trekkie.
Not one of the more serious episodes – even with the capture by the Goa’uld. Having an actor from Star Trek playing a Trekkie is a pretty big clue for this.
