“End of the Beginning” is episode sixteen of season one of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Mike Peterson, now known as Deathlok after the events of “T.R.A.C.K.S.”, attacks agents Garrett and Triplett (who were seen in “T.A.H.I.T.I.”) in a safehouse in Sydney. It’s believed that they were getting close to finding the identity of the Clairvoyant, and Coulson has a plan to find who it is – which requires Skye to be made a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent.
Agent Sitwell appears again, as he did in the previous episode “Yes Men”, and in this episode he hets orders to report to the ship he is on in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I’m getting the strong feeling these episodes should have been watched before The Winter Soldier.
I also think the season’s finale is going to be tied in to what happens in The Winter Soldier in some way. There are clues being dropped that make sense after seeing the film.
