Harley Quinn – You’re a Damn Good Cop, Jim Gordon

“You’re a Damn Good Cop, Jim Gordon” is episode six of season one of Harley Quinn.

Ivy is reading plant books and drinking wine in the mall they acquired as a lair in the previous episode, “Being Harley Quinn”, when the others arrive. They’ve stolen King Tut. Ivy is a bit upset; she’d planned to go to the museum to see it. Harley tells her she can now touch it as well. Ivy has never had the urge to touch a dead body whilst in a museum. Harley decides to check to see if this is worthy of getting into the Legion of Doom. Apparently, KGBeast has been nominated. Harley gets upset. Especially when King Shark reads one of the comments.

Ivy wants to know why Harley is obsessed with getting in the Legion of Doom. Because they are the only people the Joker treated well. Ivy says that Harley is not over her ex and wants to throw her success in her face. Harley agrees. Ivy thinks that’s the most relatable thing Harley’s ever said. Harley wants new ideas to get into the Legion of Doom. This brings up an aside on war criminals from Sy, who has also joined. King Shark says they need a computer, since Harley has just smashed his. That gives Harley an idea; they will rob Bruce Wayne.

Wayne Tech has developed an invisible motorcycle. They’re going to steal it. Harley doesn’t have a problem with it being many stories up; they’ll jump from one skyscraper to another, like in Fast & Furious 7. Whilst Clayface distracts the guard on the front desk, King Shark slips past. King Shark thanks Harley for letting him use his brain. Then bites off the head of another guard. Ivy lifts Harley and Psycho up to the right floor and breaks a window by tossing Psycho through it. They find the motorcycle, but Ivy sees an even more restricted area and decides she has to get whatever’s there.

Clayface is still talking to the guard when Harley and King Shark arrive, being chased by more guards. They flee but Clayface loses an arm in the process. Dr Psycho attempts to ride a motorbike from one skyscraper to another. He fails. Fortunately, Ivy catches him.

Jim Gordon has used the Batsignal to call Batman. Not about Harley’s theft, but to discuss his marital problems. Batman takes the Batsignal because Jim has abused it and gives him some recovered evidence. Batman tells Jim he used to be a good cop. He says he still is. Batman tells him to prove it.

Harley is gushing about how successful they were. Psycho tells her she screwed up the plan. Harley has got something better. A highly classified device. No, she doesn’t know what it does. They decide to watch the Cowled Critic, who says Harley left a member of her gang behind. Harley says everyone made it back in one piece. Then remembers Clayface’s arm.

Jim has the arm handcuffed. It’s got a face and legs and wants to go back to its dad. Clayface is telling the others that his arm knows everything he does and it is only a kid so could give away their location. Harley decides they need to rescue the arm. Stealing it from Gotham PD will impress the Legion. And Clayface will have two arms. Psycho is going to go see the Cowled Critic instead. Ivy is coming with because the Critic suggested she and Psycho were a couple.

Jim, let down by Batman, who he considered to be a friend, is getting on very well with Clayface’s arm. An unusual friendship. Harley keeps going on how this or that will get them in the Legion. And, as sidebars, keep them out of prison or help the others.
