“The Choice” is episode seventeen of season three of Farscape.
We’re back again on Talyn for this episode. Aeryn is on a planet, looking to speak with her dead father. Aeryn’s mother had told her in “Relativity” that she had killed him. Instead, she meets some who claims he is her father (‘Aeryn, I am your father!’).
With the death of the Crichton on Talyn in “Infinite Possibilities, Part 2: Icarus Abides”, with whom she had been getting quite close, Aeryn is hardly in the best shape to begin with.
She is also seeing the rather unconvincingly aged Crichton from “The Locket” that the equally unconvincingly aged Aeryn knew, as well as a young Crichton (otherwise Crichton wouldn’t be in this episode at all. Although he’s the only character who has been in every one this season, so it would have been a nice rest for the actor).
Aeryn’s mother isn’t dead, and turns up. She is still not happy.
