“Mutiny” is episode nine of season one of Falling Skies.
In the previous episode, “What Hides Beneath”, Dr Glass had discovered that the Skitters were also harnessed, just like the children they captured. Which puts a bit of a different spin on the relationship between the Skitters and the Mechs. In addition, Weaver and Tom on their scouting mission to Boston had discovered a new type of bipedal alien that seemed to be in charge of the Skitters and may be the brains behind the whole invasion.
The 2nd Massachusetts is planning to launch an attack on the alien’s structure in Boston, but Weaver seems to be not entirely in control. Ben also seems to be undergoing some sort of change too. He isn’t back to normal, but he isn’t anywhere near as odd as Jake.
Some things seem to get resolved far more easily than would likely be the case.
