The final candidates for the Astraeus mission had been chosen in “This One Time at Space Camp…”. Now, there’s only about a week left until the ship departs for Titan. Zane is not happy with Jo for backing out of the mission.
One of the scientists going on the mission runs into a problem with his experiment when his cow melts. Then Carter’s jeep melts too – followed by some other important things. The faster than light drive goes wrong, and Deputy Andy becomes the first person to travel to Titan. He’s a robot, which means that this is not immediately fatal (as it would be for a human), but he’s not built to withstand the really, really cold temperatures on Titan, so the problem is to get him back before his systems fail.
