“A New World” is episode two of season four of Eureka.
After the events of “Founder’s Day”, Carter, Jo, Allison, Henry and Fargo have all made it back to the present. There have been quite a few changes. Allison is not the head of Global Dynamics – Fargo is, of all people. Which comes as a surprise to everyone, including Fargo himself. Allison is instead now the medical director. Henry is now married. Jo and Zane didn’t have a relationship and she is no longer a deputy – Andy, the robot from “Welcome Back, Carter”, is – and is instead head of GD security. Worse, Dr. Trevor Grant (James Callis) – from 1947 – came back with them. Tess never left for Australia, and is still in a relationship with Carter, and Allison’s son is no longer autistic.
These seems to be the limit of the changes so far, but it leaves them with a problem. If they don’t fix things, they will be stuck in this alternate timeline. Whether or not that is a bad thing depends – they are all, by and large, better off in some way. There are still the normal problems of Eureka, such as Tess’s giant robot bug going haywire. Not the friendliest looking design for a giant robot, that.
