“Founder’s Day” is episode one of season four of Eureka.
It’s Founder’s Day in Eureka, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the town. Carter is feeling down, with Zoe away at college and Tess, who had left for Australia in “What Goes Around, Comes Around”, has now split with him.
Whilst Carter is out on a jog, something odd happens, although he doesn’t notice it. Not until the man in the vintage automobile and getup takes him to Eureka – and it turns out that what he was wearing and driving weren’t vintage but brand new. It’s 1947, and Eureka hasn’t been built yet.
Carter, as well as Jo, Allison, Fargo and Henry, have all travelled back in time to before Eureka had been built. How do they get back to the present, and how do they ensure that they don’t change the present in the process?
