“Kill the Moon” is episode seven of season eight of the new Doctor Who.
Miss Disruptive Influence (real name Courtney), who the Doctor decided to take into space in the previous episode, “The Caretaker” (probably breaking a whole bunch of Health & Safety rules in the process), has been upset by him. In order to cheer her up, he decides to take her on a quick trip to the Moon in 2049. The episode actually starts some time in, with Clara and Courtney and a missing Doctor and 100 armed nukes, and a really difficult decision to make.
Only, something is wrong. They are on a Space Shuttle full of nuclear bombs and the Moon has full Earth gravity. Which is part of the plot (rather than a mistake), and a Moon with Earth gravity is really, really bad.
The Doctor leaves, leaving Courtney, Clara and the shuttle pilot by themselves to make an Earth shattering decision by themselves.
Bit of an odd one this.
