“To Loose the Fateful Lightning” is episode three of season one of Andromeda.
In the previous episode, “An Affirming Flame”, Captain Dylan Hunt had managed to recruit the crew of the Eureka Maru, the salvage vessel that pulled him away from the black hole, and the lead mercenary, into the crew of the Andromeda Ascendant.
Their first journey is to a former High Guard station to see if they can get supplies. On arriving there, they find that the descendants of the original crew of the station are alive and waiting for the return of the High Guard – a singular title.
The new crew is all very young, with about 20 years old being the oldest, as they don’t live past that point. Their mission has been passed down through the generations from their ancestors. Unfortunately, it seems like it may have become a bit distorted in what is essentially a multi-generational of Chinese Whispers. The descendants view what they are doing as a holy mission of peace through superior firepower.
