“Forced Perspective” is episode fifteen of season one of Andromeda.
Dylan and Trance have taken the Eureka Maru to get a part for the Andromeda Ascendant (it may be one of the most powerful ships in space, but they are kind of lacking a support structure at the moment. It doesn’t matter how powerful your ship is if you can’t get spare parts to make it work). They have found the part, but Dylan is attacked and taken away.
He has been taken by the forces of the planet Moebius, who want him to answer for his crimes of 300 years ago. Back then he, and the Nietschean who became his first officer on the Andromeda (and who later betrayed him in “Under the Night”), had been dispatched to Mobius to arrest the planet’s leader. Mobius was not part of the Systems Commonwealth, so it was a bit of a dodgy mission to begin with, arresting a foreign head of state, even if he might not have been a nice person.
Not quite sure which parts of the scenes from the past were true or not. Trance reveals something about an ability she has. Tyr and Beka remain on the Andromeda. Rev Bem, Harper and Andromeda don’t appear in the episode; kind of odd, that.
