“Harper 2.0” is episode fourteen of season one of Andromeda.
Beka and Harper are returning on the Eureka Maru to the Andromeda Ascendant when a strange thing enters the airlock. Inside the thing is a Perseid. The Perseid delivers an electrical charge to Harper’s dataport, then dies.
When the get back to the Andromeda, the ship is hailed by a bounty hunter, Arnold Schwarzenegger (well, that’s who he sounds like). He was hunting the dead Perseid. When he finds out that the fugitive is dead, he demands the body, which he gets. Unfortunately, what he wanted isn’t in the body any longer – it’s in Harper.
It turns out that the dead Perseid was a librarian. A rather odd target for a bounty hunter. The electrical charge transferred enormous amounts of information to Harper’s brain. which now holds too much knowledge for safety.
There’s a link to the Magog and a creature who will become important later (I saw some episodes with him/it in).
