“Death’s Door” is episode nine of season one of The Tomorrow People and the mid-season finale.
At the end of the previous episode, “Thanatos”, John had been captured by Ultra and he is being tortured for information by the Founder, who seems a fairly nasty piece of work. Also yet another one of the Tomorrow People that can kill. There are getting to be a ridiculously large number of these.
Stephen is convinced that his father is still alive, John is not – because he killed him. Which does make you wonder who Stephen saw in “Limbo”, seeing that the information given about Thanatos was true, so Stephen thinks that John failed.
Cara and Russell are tracking down Jedikiah’s girlfriend Morgan to use as leverage to get John back.
