Stargate SG-1 – Zero Hour

“Zero Hour” is episode four of season eight of Stargate SG-1.

General O’Neill is still not coping quite that well with running the SGC, so he finds that General Hammond has allocated him an administrative assistant. Which makes everyone else happy, as O’Neill hasn’t exactly been keeping up with his paperwork. But the new assistant is hiding something.

SG-1 are heading for a former planet belonging to Anubis that Ba’al hasn’t discovered yet, so SG-1 want to recon the base and look for abandoned goodies. O’Neill wants them to wait for a day until they have backup. When they do go, they are captured by Ba’al, who wants to exchange them for Camulus, the Goa’uld System Lord who asked for asylum in “New Order: Part 2”.

Much of the episode actually revolves around O’Neill coping, or failing to do so, with the boring, humdrum, annoying and occasionally humorous problems that come as part of the job of running a base. He really isn’t suited to this job.
