“Wormhole X-Treme!” is episode twelve of season five of Stargate SG-1.
In the episode “Point of No Return”, SG-1 encountered a man, Martin, who turned out to actually be an alien and not just a bit cracked. Now, a spacecraft has been detected with a signature matching Martin’s escape pod.
Martin is now working on a television programme called Wormhole X-Treme! – which has a suspiciously familiar cast and plot – as a creative consultant. O’Neill is sent to work on the programme as the Air Force consultant. Martin seems to have lost much of his memory, though, although he obviously remembers some things. It appears his memory has been wiped – again.
I’ve actually seen some of this one before. Looks like we’re finally at the point where I did watch a bunch of episodes. Not the most serious of episodes and perhaps a bit too self-referential.
