“Tin Man” is episode eighteen of season one of Stargate SG-1.
SG-1 exit the stargate into a building with more advanced technology than is typical of most of the cultures seen on other planets, maybe more advanced than Earth’s.
Coming across a console and pressing strange buttons – never a terribly good idea, yet so tempting – results in all four of them being struck by an energy beam of some description and then falling unconscious.
When they wake up they are dressed differently and are greeted by a strange man who says that he is the last survivor of the planet’s civilisation and that he has been on his own for 11,000 years – and consequently he is a little strange. He also tells them that he has made them ‘better.’
When they return back to the SGC they quickly discover that they are robots – which results in them being identified as being intruders and treated as such. Have their consciousnesses been transferred or are they copies?
