“Solitudes” is episode eighteen of season one of Stargate SG-1.
SG-1 are returning to the SGC moments after they left after they came under fire on exiting the stargate. Teal’c and Daniel make it back, but the stargate suffers an overload and the wormhole destabilizes, leaving O’Neill and Carter stranded and, even worse, not on the world they were on. Instead, they are both in an icy crevasse on another world. The wormhole has dumped them through a different stargate.
There isn’t a Dial Home Device by the gate and the SGC can’t dial out and, even if they could, don’t actually have the right destination.
I really don’t remember many of these early episodes, even though I know I’ve seen them. This one explains a common problem in the episodes – like how the Goa’uld visited Earth after Ra’s stargate was buried in Egypt.
