“The Warrior” is episode eighteen of season five of Stargate SG-1.
Teal’c and Bra’tac are watching a speech by a Jaffa, K’tano, the former First Prime of Imhotep before he killed him. Despite Imhotep being legendary as the first pyramid builder, the Goa’uld of that name was quite minor and not a System Lord at all. K’tano is building an army of Jaffa.
Teal’c and Bra’tac suggest an alliance with K’tano. With the Tollan possibly destroyed by Anubis in “Between Two Fires” and the Tok’ra gravely damaged in the attack by Zipacna in “Summit”, Earth needs new allies. So SG-1 go to arrange an alliance.
K’tano is charismatic, but O’Neill is suspicious – which isn’t unusual. Suspicious is Jack’s ground state. SG-1 brings P90s, but the Jaffa are not that impressed with them compared to the staff weapons, so a demonstration is arranged.
Is K’tano genuine or not?
