“The Pegasus Project” is episode three of season ten of Stargate SG-1.
Daniel, Sam, Vala and Mitchell are heading to the Pegasus galaxy in the Odyssey, which means Daniel is finally going to make it to Atlantis – something he has been trying to do ever since it became possible to travel there. Vala points out that his not getting there was only her fault on two occasions (“Prometheus Unbound” and “Avalon: Part 1”).
Daniel and Vala are going to Atlantis to query the database there. The Odyssey and the others are going to a black hole to see if they can manage to dial out from the Ori’s supergate in the Milky Way by using the black hole.
Because they go to Atlantis, some regulars from that show appear, such as Rodney, Shephard, Dr Weir and Zelenka. Rodney accompanies the Odyssey and gives out a little bit too much detail about how hallucinatory Sam helped him in “Grace Under Pressure”.
The black hole is one of the typical, matter-swirling-down-a-cosmic-plughole images normally used. Having seen Interstellar shortly before seeing this episode, whose black hole is totally different and supposedly more realistic (more realistic than this type anyway), the black hole in this episode doesn’t look that good any longer.
