“The Curse” is episode thirteen of season four of Stargate SG-1.
Daniel Jackson’s former archaeology teacher, Professor Jordan, is killed in a laboratory explosion. Daniel goes to the funeral, and meets two former colleagues, one of who doesn’t like him very much.
Professor Jordan had been studying some recently recovered Egyptian relics when he died, that are rumoured to be cursed (curses being quite big in Ancient Egypt). Of course, it’s not as simple as that, as Daniel discovers a Goa’uld connection. There was a canopic jar bearing the symbol of the Egyptian god Osiris, who was presumably a Goa’uld, as all the other Egyptian gods were.
I wonder if they deliberately chose to have an episode with a curse theme to be episode thirteen?
