Stargate SG-1 – Rite of Passage

“Rite of Passage” is episode six of season five of Stargate SG-1.

Cassandra, the young girl who was made into a bomb in “Singularity”, is having a birthday and acting like a rather typical teenager (and also being played by a different actress) when she kisses her boyfriend and suddenly passes out – after causing a light bulb to explode. This is not typical behaviour for even a teenager. Although teenagers have been known to break stuff, generally they don’t break things in that manner.

She is taken to the SGC, and there’s a retrovirus in her system. Cassandra is also generating an electromagnetic field. This was something apparently known to her people, and the children were sent into the forest alone. Unfortunately, her people were wiped out and the world contaminated, so it needs checking first. There are signs of life, though – and there looks to be a Goa’uld presence as well.
