“Reckoning: Part 2” is episode seventeen of season eight of Stargate SG-1.
In the previous episode, “Reckoning: Part 1”, it was revealed that there is, apparently, at the temple which the rebel Jaffa managed to capture on Dekara, the sole weapon capable of destroying the Replicators, a relic of the Ancients.
It will also destroy all life in the galaxy, and Ba’al is not keen on this idea as it would affect him too. Admittedly, everyone else isn’t particularly keen on it either. Anubis, who Ba’al is currently serving, is not as bothered by this as it won’t affect him, as he is kind of dead anyway. Replicator Sam has also managed to find the location of the weapon from Daniel.
Ba’al’s fleet is going – slowly – to Dekara, in the hopes that SGC will destroy the weapon before he arrives. The Replicators are heading there also, but they are heading everywhere. Which, with SG-1 and the Jaffa already there, makes the planet a popular destination, and means another alliance with an enemy.
Enemies on every front, and the SGC is under attack too. One of those saving the universe at the very last minute episodes.
Some more things from Stargate: Atlantis now make more sense.
