Stargate SG-1 – Moebius: Part 2

“Moebius: Part 2” is episode twenty of season eight of Stargate SG-1 and the season finale.

In the previous episode, “Moebius: Part 1”, SG-1 had travelled back 5000 years into the past to steal a Zero Point Module from Ra. The theft went fine, but they were unable to get back to their ship, and the future was changed as a result.

In the present, SGC doesn’t exist and the team members are all doing very different things. Called in after they discovered to be on the tape of a 5000 year old video camera, they manage to find the Antarctic stargate (the Giza one this time having been taken by Ra when he left) and the Puddlejumper. General Hammond doesn’t want Sam or Carter on the mission to fix things in the past, because they are untrained. Jack is the only one who can fly the Puddlejumper. Dr Rodney McKay is back also, as the expert, and Kowalski is alive. Jack does manage to talk Hammond to allow Sam and Daniel to go.

They take the jumper through to Chulak, where they are captured by Apophis – and his First Prime, Teal’c. Eventually, they end up on Earth, and meet the other Daniel Jackson, and have to ensure that Ra doesn’t take the stargate with him.

Some interesting interactions between the different version of SG-1. That’s the first season without twenty-two episodes.
