“Jolinar’s Memories” is episode twelve of season three of Stargate SG-1.
The Tok’ra travel to the SGC with news that Sam’s father has been captured by Sokar, and has been imprisoned on his prison moon of Ne’tu, from which none have escaped – except for Jolinar. Jolinar was the member of the Tok’ra that took Sam Carter as a host in the episode “In the Line of Duty”. Ne’tu is a world that serves as Hell, with constant fires burning, and Sokar is the devil.
Sam needs to access the memories that the deceased Jolinar left in her in order to save her father, by finding out how Jolinar escaped from Ne’tu.
On Ne’tu is also an old enemy – Apophis, who died in “Serpent’s Song”. Even though in that episode it was mentioned that, with a sarcophagus, Sokar could bring Apophis back from the dead, again and again, it’s been frequently said in later episodes that Apophis was dead, and the impression was given that this was permanent. This didn’t seem that likely and, indeed, it wasn’t. Apophis is not in a good place though.
