“Full Alert” is episode fourteen of season eight of Stargate SG-1.
Former Vice President Kinsey, who was forced to resign in “Lost City: Part 2”, breaks into O’Neill’s house in order to speak with him. Jack is not happy with this. Kinsey is still one of his least favourite people. Kinsey says that he has been contacted by the Trust who want him to arrange a meeting with the Russian defence minister, in order to disrupt the relationship the SGC have with the Russians.
Kinsey agrees to go undercover, but what the Trust say they want is not what they actually do want. After fleeing the Solar System in Osiris’s Al’kesh at the end of “Endgame”, the Trust were apparently compromised by the Goa’uld System Lords. This was something I thought was going to happen because I had already watched Stargate Universe prior to seeing this episode.
They manage to successfully ratchet tensions up to the brink of nuclear war, but what they are actually trying to accomplish remains hidden.
