“Flesh and Blood” is episode one of the tenth and final season of Stargate SG-1.
At the end of the season nine finale, “Camelot”, the various forces fighting to stop the Ori invading the galaxy – Earth, the Free Jaffa, the Lucian Alliance and the Asgard – were losing quite badly to a mere four Ori ships. Big ships admittedly, but they are also far more powerful than any of the ships defending the galaxy, even those of the Asgard.
Vala is on one of the ships, and she’s giving birth to a daughter – one that the Ori have given her. A rather special daughter. One who is growing up very quickly, and with special powers.
The allied ships have largely been destroyed, or very heavily damaged. The Lucian Alliance is also not playing nice any longer; they aren’t truly a stellar government after all and aren’t particularly happy to have lost so much capital. Daniel is on an Ori ship.
Things are really getting worse and nothing seems capable of stopping the Ori’s forces.
