Stargate SG-1 – Disclosure

“Disclosure” is episode seventeen of season six of Stargate SG-1.

The Stargate Program was properly revealed to the Russians in “Watergate” – the Russians already knew of the stargate program of course, especially as they had acquired a stargate of their own, so it was mostly just a matter of confirming its existence rather than revealing it.

The ambassadors of the People’s Republic of China, the United Kingdom and France have been invited to the Pentagon to also be told about the existence of the stargate. The revelation is first met with disbelief. Then with anger. The decision has been made to inform the other countries so that they can help with the defence of Earth against the Goa’uld. People are not terribly happy that the entire planet has been potentially endangered by the actions of the U.S.

The perennially annoying Senator Kinsey, whose death was fabricated in “Smoke & Mirrors”, is back – and is blaming SG-1 again for problems. Bet Jack wishes the Senator had actually been killed.

Lots of clips from previous episodes in this program. Never good, that. A substantial proportion of this episode was made of recycled material, as events of past missions are shown to the representatives, and only General Hammond of the regular cast, along with two recurring characters, appear in anything other than a clip. So not a lot of new material in this episode.
