“Crusade” is episode nineteen of season nine of Stargate SG-1.
Vala, who was last seen in “Beachhead” destroying the Ori’s supergate had, as Carter had hypothesized, been transported through it to the Ori’s galaxy rather than getting killed in the process. Now, she has returned – sort of.
She has actually returned using the Ancients’ communication stones, so Vala is actually in Daniel’s body. And she’s pregnant. Apparently, there is no father either. When Vala asks if they’ve ever heard anything like that, they answer yes – although Teal’c’s suggestion is Darth Vader. Which is true. ‘How did that turn out?’ Vala asks. In the end, okay might be the answer to that one, but there were a few incidents along the way.
Apparently, the Ori are building a huge fleet to invade the galaxy. In the previous episode, “Arthur’s Mantle”, the location of a device that would kill Ascended beings was discovered. Now, all they need is the device. Meanwhile, the Russians are wanting to get their stargate back, so that they can start their own programme.
