“Citizen Joe” is episode fifteen of season eight of Stargate SG-1.
Jack O’Neill is preparing to make his ‘world-famous’ omelette (it’s made with beer and eggs) when a man bursts into his home wielding a gun, claiming that Jack has ruined his life. Then, it goes back seven years. At least they point out that this is the second week in a row that Jack’s house has been broken into, as Kinsey broke into it too in the previous episode, “Full Alert”.
The armed man had discovered a device at a garage sale which showed him images of SG-1’s missions. Some research showed him that at least some of the things he was seeing were real, and he starts telling stories of SG-1’s exploits to his friends and family. Then he starts writing them down.
The visions become an obsession and it starts causing problems with his life. This is how Jack ruined the life of a man he never met before.
This episode guest stars Dan Castellaneta, one of the most famous actors you probably won’t recognise on sight, as he is the voice of Homer Simpson from The Simpsons.
Another flashback episode, of a sort anyway, with some clips of previous episodes, and more narrated stories of them too.
