“Progress” is episode fifteen of season one of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
The Bajorans are about to commence operations on a, strangely inhabitable and with full gravity, moon, which will produce energy and transfer it back to Bajor. The operations will render the moon uninhabitable (which seems a bit of a waste) so the handful of inhabitants have been relocated.
Kira and Dax are doing a final check when they discover that there are three people left on it. Kira transports down and finds an old farmer and his two friends who refuse to leave. Kira tries to talk him into leaving, and suffers a bit of a personal crisis as a result.
Meanwhile, back on DS9, Nog overhears Quark complaining about some food that Rom ordered by accident. He decides that he and Jake will be able to sell the food for a profit. There then follows quite a long process, as they can’t immediately sell it for money, but end up swapping it, and then swapping what they get in exchange, and so on.
