“Dax” is episode eight of season one of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
A group of people attempt to kidnap Dax. They are stopped before they manage to escape, but when questioned they provide an arrest warrant for Dax, charging her with murder and treason.
Only it’s not actually this Dax, but the previous host, Curzon, who is wanted, so Sisko’s claim to keep Dax on the station whilst he sends Odo to the home world is that they are actually two different people, and the current incarnation can’t be held responsible for the prior one.
Matters aren’t helped by Dax’s refusal to explain what happened, and what Odo initially finds doesn’t help either, as it seems that Curzon may have had a relationship with the wife of the dead man.
